Recently (Feb 28th, 2005) Indian Government announced that there will be a TAX of 10 Rupees for each withdrawal exceeding 10,000 Rupees per day.
This clause has become a controversial one and we have started to hear criticisms about it.
While we (here 'we' means the Finance Analysts Team at Sampath.com, which really is a one member team that comprises Sampath, that is me) strongly believe that our Finance Minister, Mr.P.Chidambaram may have his own reasons for announcing this, you know, him being a Finance Genius and all etc, we still would like to give some suggestions to amend this clause.
(At this point, we request the readers, not to compare our Finance Minister's mathematical skills with all the Maths arrears that we kept during our college years)
Following are the suggestions that we ask the Finance Minister to include in his budget.
1. Any woman who buys more than 10 sarees in a day must pay at least a small handkerchief as tax to the government.
1a. What can the govt do with those handkerchiefs?
It can sell them for huge profits.
1b. Hey! Wait a second, will you? Did you just say HUGE PROFITS!!!?
Yes. Huge Profits..!
1c. But seriously, who will buy it?
The same women community who watches a lot of MEGA SERIALS and cry a lot.
2. Any student who cuts his class and watches 5 movies a day, will have to pay 10 Rupess as tax.
2a. Hey! I don't get this?
Then only our young generation will become more responsible.
2b. More responsible???
Yeah. By not watching 5 movies a day. Instead they will be more responsible and stick with only 4 movies a day.
3. Any half-an-hour TV serial that doesn't have more than 3 advertisements within, will be exempted from tax.
3a. What? Now, how does this benefit our country?
Nothing. I have been watching a mega serial now. And I want to see its ending climax.
However, we suggest the following to really really supress all the criticisms.
That is to give 10 Rupees credit for a 10,000 Rupees deposit.
